This is a 1915 photogravure print of Maharaja of Jodhpur Sir Sardar Singh Bahadur. He reigned for a short period from an adolescent age of 15 until his death at 31 (1895‑1911).
Two photos from 1942 show the Taj Mahal disguised against enemy air attack during WWII. Japan was allied with the Axis Powers (Germany, Italy, & Japan). So naturally, India became their prime target. Since Britain aligned with the Allied Powers (Britain, USA, and Russia).Foto’s en tekst:
