As torrential rains hit Belgium, Germany, The Netherlands and Luxembourg on July 14th, 2021, cities and communes in Eastern Belgium were confronted with incredible devastation because of extreme floods. Eupen has been the at the centre of most things Meakusma for years now and people in the Meakusma sphere live and work there, in Limbourg and in Verviers.
This charitable compilation aims to contribute to the relief efforts in place for these three communes. We are very happy to have been granted, by so many artists, the use of their music for this compilation. Many of the contributing artists have been friends and/or collaborators of Meakusma for a long time. Most tracks included have never been released before. As the floods and their impact also forced us to cancel the Meakusma Weekend 2021, we are happy to be able to present you with what is quite a big selection of tracks, sketches and outtakes that very much embodies Meakusma's musical take on things.
All profits from this compilation will be donated to official relief channels of the cities of Eupen, Limbourg and Verviers.
