File extension WTF description:
The WTF file is used by World of Warcraft (WoW).
The .wtf files are simple text files, which can be viewed or edit by any text editor.
The file "realmlist.wtf" contains information that is used by the World of Warcraft (WoW) game to get the servers in which it connects to & the update servers address also. The only reason to edit this file is to play on free private servers in which there are many of online now days. You can open this file with just about any text editor program.
The WTF has nothing to do with its online meaning, its an actual file extension used only for the purpose of storing the games server & updates connection information.

iPhone-apps: Word Lens
On-the-fly video translations ... maar zo flitsend als in het filmpje Introducing Word Lens op de website van de maker gaat het echt niet. De losse woorden springen over het scherm en het komt allemaal erg onrustig over. Desalniettemin erg indrukwekkende software.
De betaalversie is er nu voor Engels-Spaans en vice versa. Met de gratis demoversie kun je niet vertalen, maar wel woorden laten omdraaien of weghalen, om te zien hoe het werkt. Het heeft ontegenzeggelijk iets magisch (zie hieronder).

iPhone-apps: WakeUpNow
WakeUpNow is een reiswekkertje in de waarste zin van het woord: het maakt je wakker als je je bestemming hebt bereikt. De app is een crime om in te stellen en door de continue gps-updates is je iPhone in no time leeg, maar het Engels in de interface is zo, nou ja, eigenaardig, dat het bijna Messiaans poëtisch wordt: Save the Completed. You are here to save.
