Si vous regardez bien la pochette de cette adaptation de "Les schtroumpfs noirs" vous verrez que le schtroumpf mordu par la mouche n'est pas noir mais violet. Par ailleurs, le titre original de l'album n'a pas été gardé. Pourquoi ? Ben, parce que l'adaptation de cet épisode (qui d'ailleurs n'a jamais été traduit en anglais) par les studios Hannah-Barbera s'est heurtée à un écueil : dire que les schtroumpfs mordus par la mouche devenaient simultanément noirs ET méchants revenait à sous-entendre que les "noirs" (pardon, "afro-américains") l'étaient eux-mêmes.

This photograph was taken to accompany “My Adventures Being Rescued,” an article that recounts how Barnes attended a firefighters’ training session and played at being saved three times. While Barnes’s instinct to insert herself into her chosen stories gave her ample opportunity to showcase her courage and evocative prose, it also carried real danger, as demonstrated when a homemade airplane she was to ride in crashed, killing all those aboard.
